The 40th Session of the Intergovernmental Group on Rice

The 40th Session of the Intergovernmental Group (IGG) on Rice was held jointly with the 29th Session of the IGG on Grains, the 18th session of the IGG on Meat and the 29th session of the IGG on Oilseeds, Oils and Fats was in Rome from 3-5 July 2001. A symposium on biotechnology and international trade of basic foodstuffs, was also held on 4 July 2001.
