One of the most important task in a fisheries survey is the preparation of preliminary and final reports, which will be under the responsability of the field operations supervisor.
They will consist of summaries of field operations carried out and results obtained on each area for data collection purposes. Their main objectives are to detect any changes from the procedures agreed upon to carry out the census affecting data quality, to identify also means to correct figures recorded and compile collected data. They include:
A description of field operations: Personnel, itinerary, field operations and their cost, obstacles encountered and reasons to depart from established survey procedures.
A list of identified fishing sites visited and not visited (but informed by reliable individuals).
A table presenting characteristics of each visited fishing site including name, number of vessels (sport and non sport fishing: commercial and non commercial), plants and buying stations.
Number of sheets by form number.
When the analysis of the data collected during the survey is completed a final report will be prepared. Such analysis will take in consideration the CCS results, which will be used to correct data collected during the survey, if it is necessary.

Results will be presented under the form of charts showing fishing sites geographical location and tables summarising data collected on number of fishing vessels, fishermen and fishing gears by category and site.
