The Expert Consultation on the Development of International Guidelines for Ecolabelling of Fish and Fishery Products from Marine Capture Fisheries was held in Rome, Italy, from 14 to 17 October 2003.
The list of experts and other participants in the meeting is shown in Appendix B. The documents which were before the Technical Consultation are listed in Appendix C.
The meeting was called to order by Mr Ichiro Nomura, Assistant Director-General, Fisheries Department, who delivered the opening statement. The text of his statement is reproduced in Appendix D.
Dr Kristjan Thorarinsson and Ms Maria Teresa Bandala Medina served as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson respectively.
The agenda shown in Appendix A was adopted by the Expert Consultation.
