The Sixth Session of the Intergovernmental Technical Working Group on Animal Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture opened at FAO Headquarters. At country level, governments are committed and take steps towards the implementation of a Global Plan of Action for Animal Genetic Resources, and FAO facilitates the process.
