6th Session of the Intergovernmental Technical Working Group on Animal Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (2010)
The Sixth Session of the Intergovernmental Technical Working Group on Animal Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture opened at FAO Headquarters. The capacity to adapt agricultural production systems is becoming a priority, due to climate change and emerging virulent livestock diseases. At country level, governments are committed and take steps towards the implementation of a Global Plan of Action for Animal Genetic Resources, and FAO facilitates the process.
