The name green wattle is also applied to other species with greenish bark and
fernlike leaves. Shrub or small tree with green bark; leaves fernlike, young
leaves and stem tips golden yellow; yellow flowers in balls. It is common
in patches in shallow soils on ridges in the western Darling Downs, Maranoa
and Warrego districts in Queensland and is eaten readily by sheep in dry
times (Everist, 1969).
