A Global Workshop for National Coordinators for Animal Genetic Resources will be held at FAO Headquarters in Rome on 11-12 December 2006. The workshop precedes the Fourth Regular Session of the Intergovernmental Technical Working Group on Animal Genetic Resources (13-15 December 2006). Its main objective is to facilitate exchange among National Coordinators on experiences gathered after the finalization of the Country Reports, particularly with regard to the continuation of working groups (National Focal Point, National Consultative Committee) developed during the State of the World process, and the implementation of the strategic priorities identified during the State of the World process.
