PPLPI participated in a meeting on: ‘Linking Climate and Health Research to Reduce Africa’s Infectious Disease Burden: An exploratory dialogue’. The dialogue was organized by a consortium comprising (i) the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC); (ii) the International Livestock Research Institute; (iii) Google.org, who sponsored the dialogue; (iv) the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE); and (v) the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI); its aim was to engage a diverse group of stakeholders across Africa and beyond, and through collaborative actions, to strengthen the capacity to predict, prevent and mitigate the impacts of climate-sensitive infectious diseases. » Read
