ABSTRACT

The final formal report of the second session of the Commission for Inland Fisheries of Latin America (COPESCAL), held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on 2–4 December 1981 is presented. Major topics considered were (i) fishery resources, (ii) fisheries technology, (iii) development and management of artificial lakes, (iv) aquaculture, (v) training. Appendix H includes the list of documents presented to the meeting. A list of the recommendations of the session is included as Appendix J.
