1 The Programme Committee was originally established as a “Coordinating Committee” by the Third Session of the Conference (1947), and reconstituted at the Sixth Session (1951, Resolution 84/51). At the Ninth Session of the Conference the name was changed to Programme Committee (1957, Resolution 37/57). Its size and structure were modified by the Nineteenth Session of the Conference (1977, Resolution 15/77).

2 The Finance Committee was originally established by the Second Session of the Conference (1946) as a
“Sub-Committee on Finance” to assist the Executive Committee in performing its duties as the Committee on Financial Control. It was reconstituted as a “Committee on Financial Control” (CFC) by the Third Session of the Conference (1947). At the Ninth Session of the Conference the name was changed to Finance Committee (1957, Resolution 37/57). Its size and structure were modified by the Nineteenth Session of the Conference (1977, Resolution 15/77).
