Fundación Telefónica opens its lines to TeleFood
|

Thanks to the generous support of Fundación Telefónica, millions of viewers in Spain have been able to phone in their contributions to the primetime fundraising show "Un milenio sin hambre", organized in 1999 and 2000 by the Spanish network Radiotelevisión Española.
The funds collected through the show have gone to small, sustainable projects that help poor farmers produce more food for their families.
Fundación Telefónica was created in 1998 by Telefónica, the Spanish Telecommunication Company, to promote social action. As part of its objectives, Fundación Telefónica aims to help improve the living standards of the most vulnerable communities.
