The report summarizes
developments in GTOS activities during the last two years. Activities
include: the Terrestrial Ecosystem Monitoring Sites (TEMS) database,
terrestrial carbon, land cover dynamics, coastal monitoring, regional
projects, climate observations, biodiversity, net primary productivity,
mountains, and hydrology.
The report introduces Mr John Latham, new GTOS Programme
Director, including his opinion on the role of GTOS in the coming
years.
