Creating their own messageYoung people from Rome's international schools turned their artistic hands to creating posters around this year's World Food Day theme -- "Fighting hunger and malnutrition". The annual competition, organized by the United Nations Women's Guild, attracted 65 entries from young people between the ages of five and 18. "All of us have some idea of what an emaciated man looks like. And it is so easy to turn off the television and tune our minds into other, less depressing matters," says Le Anh Nguyen, winner in the secondary school category. "But competitions like this one bring these problems to the forefront of our minds, and we begin to think less superficially about these problems."
