Why strengthen Agricultural Trade?

It is of utmost importance to all countries of the Region to strengthen their agricultural trade and search for a greater liberalization of international markets. The representatives of member countries, tending to homogenize information and negotiating capacity, requested FAO to continue with the training of agricultural trade negotiators and collaborating in agricultural negotiations within the context of the WTO and in all regional, subregional and bilateral agreements.
