FAO handles different types of financing instruments to provide technical assistance in animal production and health activities, the following are the main ones:
GCP: (Government Cooperative Programme). The government of a donor country grants resources at FAO’s disposal to execute a project in a third country, which in this case would be the beneficiary of the technical assistance project.
UTF: (Unilateral Trust Fund), a country grants FAO with the necessary funds to carry out a technical assistance project in its own territory. More information in:

TCP: (Technical Cooperation Project), it is an instrument allowing FAO, with funds from the FAO regular programme, to give a quick response to the urgent needs of technical assistance and in emergencies of Member Countries, and contribute to strengthen its capacity. The TCP projects do not operate in isolation; they are closely related to other normative and field activities of the organization. More information in: http://www.fao.org/tc/tcd/tcdt/Es/Inicio.htm
