The SARD-M Project celebrated the International Mountain Day promoted by the Mountain Partnership. Focusing on peace this year, the International Mountain Day recalled that many of the world’s conflicts occur in mountain regions. Mountain regions suffer disproportionately from the effects of conflict because they are often the poorest and least developed places in the world. Yet, peace is a pre-requisite to food security.
