DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general supervision of the Chief and the direct supervision of a Human Resources Officer, the incumbent will:- be responsible for the development of learning materials, facilitation and administration of HR corporate programmes; e.g. Orientation Programme, Certification in Facilitation Programme;
- identify, coordinate and advise consultants and/or in-house staff and stakeholders on the needs of the programme, target audiences and expectations for quality delivery;
- establish an evaluation and feedback mechanism for the unit and service providers to ensure effectiveness and cost benefits ensuring that timely updates and inclusion of arising corporate needs are maintained;
- coordinate efforts in the identification and delivery of corporate programmes to the decentralized offices in the most cost-effective manner ensuring access for all staff;
- contribute to the assessment, development and planning of new programmes as per corporate priorities liaising with key stakeholders based on the needs for continued development and support from key stakeholders;
- participate to the formulation of recommendations on learning policies and procedures;
- perform other duties as required.
**APPOINTMENT TO THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARY AS ITS DURATION IS FOR ONE YEAR WITH POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should meet the following:
|
- University degree in human resources management, business or public administration, education, humanities or related field
- Three years of relevant experience in adult education, including development, instruction, programme administration and coordination of a learning programme with demonstrated facilitation skills
- Working knowledge of English, French or Spanish and limited knowledge of one of the other two

SELECTION CRITERIA
Candidates will be assessed against the following:
|
- Extent of experience in the organization of learning programme development and administration
- Extent of organizational skills and the use of technology for both administration and delivery of HR programmes
- Extent of experience as a facilitator working with large groups
- Proven experience as a team player with sensitivity in dealing with different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
- Quality of communication skills (oral and written)

Please note that all candidates should possess computer/word processing skills and should be capable of working with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
* The length of appointment for internal FAO candidates will be established in accordance with applicable policies pertaining to the extension of appointments.

REMUNERATION
|
Level P-2
carries a net salary per year (inclusive of a variable element for post adjustment) from US$ 71 620
US$ 86 047
(without dependants) and from US$ 76 357
to US$ 92 216
