General Requirements:
- Fluent written and oral English, French or Spanish;
- Experience of evaluation of agricultural and rural development programmes in developing countries and at global level;
- Ability to write analytical, clear and concise reports.

Essential technical skills and experience:
- experience and evidence of evaluation capacity at senior level, particularly as it relates to agriculture and rural development;
- work experience in developing countries;
- academic qualifications within evaluation, agriculture, rural development, economics or the social sciences;
- managerial capability;
- leadership and communication skills (both orally and in writing);
- willingness to undertake extensive duty travel, including in hardship situations.
