
Navigating iRecruitment
While navigating the FAO iRecruitment site you will find many icons, links and symbols that will allow you to easily move around in the site. Below are some of these:
- While navigating the iRecruitment site avoid using the Internet toolbar, in particular the
arrow in your browser as this may sometimes cause error messages and the interruption of your session. You will find many links within the iRecruitment page that will allow you to move easily around the site without having to use this toolbar. - The link
located at the top and bottom of your iRecruitment home page take you to your Job Basket. More information about the Job Basket is available on the “Search for Jobs” section. - The tag
and the icon
take you to the Search for Jobs screen. More information about searching for jobs is available under “Search for Jobs” section.
Click on this symbol to display additional information or a hint.
Tips are used to give information or hints, sometimes warnings.- Asterisk next to a field indicates that the field is mandatory and cannot be left blank.
If you click on the torch, a list of values for you to select is displayed on the screen.
Check Box: is a small square which can be ticked to select the value indicated next to it. More than one check box can be selected at a time.
This symbol is used to indicate a warning message.
A pick-list is a list of values displayed on the screen when you click on 
frequently when you are completing your on-line application:If you do not enter any information for 20 minutes or more you will automatically disconnected and all unsaved information will be lost.
- Radio button
is a round circle next to an action description. The options displayed with radio buttons present the actions or values available. Only one action or value can be selected.
