April 2006 Second year of activities approved by the SARD-M Project Steering CommitteeReinforcement of activities started and expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa
The SARD-M Project Steering Committee met at FAO Headquarters in February 2006 to review progress of the project in 2005 and to review the proposed work plan for 2006. The Committee discussed activities to be proposed as a follow-up to the assessment findings in the Carpathians, Central America, Hindu Kush-Himalayas, Mediterranean Basin, and the Andes. A proposed expansion of activities to Sub-Saharan Africa was also supported.
