KAZAKSTAN ADMITTED TO UN FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATION, BRINGING MEMBERSHIP TO 175 COUNTRIES
Rome, 7 November -- Kazakstan became a member-nation of the UN Food and Agriculture
Organization (FAO) today, bringing the Organization’s membership to 175 countries
and the European Community as a member organization.
During the opening day of FAO’s governing Conference, Kazakstan’s application for
membership was accepted. Kazakstan was the only country to submit an application
for membership in the Rome-based UN agency at its 29th session of the Conference.
