COAIM 2002

The Second Consultation on Agricultural Information Management will be held in Rome, Italy, from 23 to 25 of September 2002. The meeting is taking place in an international policy context in which multilateral initiatives and agreements on information and communication technologies complement FAO efforts to address Member Countries´ needs and strategies on agricultural information management and as a means to promote food security and sustainable development. The main goal of the meeting will be to review ways and mechanisms to improve the capacities of decision-makers, professionals and the public at large in FAO Member Countries to access and use agricultural information.
