Data analysed in this study have been supplied by FAO and USDA. FAO data were provided from the Agrostat databases for feed use of different cereals, brans, oilseeds, oilmeals and roots and tubers commodities with the help of Henning Steinfeld, Jan Groenewold and Jelle Bruinsma of FAO Data on the production, consumption, feed use and trade of feed commodities (except roots and tubers) were abstracted from the PS&D (Production, Supply and Distribution) database provided by the USDA Economic Research Service (through Peter Riley). Additional analysis work was carried out by Darius Campbell, Danni Romney and Jeroen Dijkman of the NRI.
