- Uruguay's Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay, Roberto Kreimerman, met yesterday with FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva at the Organization's headquarters in Rome.

- Argentina will export an additional 2.75 million tonnes of maize from its 2011/12 crop, the country's Minister of Agriculture Norberto Yauhar confirmed here today.
