Biography

Ms Macit, a national of Turkey, holds a Master’s degree in Law from City, University of London and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB with Honours) from the University of Westminster, London, UK. She started her career in 1987 as a solicitor with the law firm Malkin Janner and later at JacquesLewis in London.

In 1992, she joined the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel. From 1997 to 2008, she worked as Director, Consultancy Services at EBRD and during that period, she also served as Acting Director Procurement and Purchasing Department between December 2007 and May 2008.

From May 2008 to December 2012, Ms Macit worked as Director, Consultancy and Corporate Procurement Department, EBRD, leading operational support, and ensuring quality assurance and compliance functions.

From January 2013 to December 2017, she served as Director Technical Cooperation and Vice-Presidency Policy, EBRD where she was responsible amongst others, for the approval of the Bank’s technical assistance projects, governance structure, and also formulated and implemented a technical assistance results framework for the Bank.
