Non-state actors welcomed to express their interest to participate in The International Symposium on Agricultural Innovation for Family Farmers

FAO will receive expressions of interest until the next 31 August 2018

If you are a representative of a civil society organization; producer organization or cooperative; private sector entity (including philanthropic foundations); or academic/research institution, and are interested in attending The International Symposium on Agricultural Innovation for Family Farmers, you can express your interest in attending the international symposium here.

Criteria for participation

In order to approve the expression of interest in participating, FAO will take into account the following common and specific criteria for the different groups of non-state actors. FAO wants to ensure a balanced and diverse geographical, gender and age representation. All agricultural sectors within each group of Non-state actors should be represented to ensure the multisectoral approach to the symposium.

FAO will seek that participants’ work is relevant to the to FAO mandate and to the scope/focus of the symposium (agricultural innovation for family farmers) and they are committed to FAO’s mandate to end hunger and poverty worldwide.

Please note:

• The deadline for expression of interest is 23.59 Rome time on 31 August 2018.

• Only successful applicants will be contacted by email - to inform them that their expression of interest to attend the symposium has been approved.

• Successful applicants will receive this email about 10 September 2018, thereby allowing them to organise their visa and travel arrangements in time.

FAO does not have funding available for representatives of non-state actors to participate in this international symposium

• The total number of places for representatives of non-state actors is limited.

• Only one representative per non-state actor (i.e. one per civil society organization; producer organization or cooperative; private sector entity or academic/research institution) will be considered.
