Sommet parlamentaire mondial contre la faim et la malnutrition

This year’s Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition in the Near East and North Africa has an overarching theme of conflict and its effect on food security and nutrition in the region.

The fight against hunger is slowing and as we reassess progress we are concerned that the number of hungry people in Asia and the Pacific region may have already begun to rise. This means that many countries in this region risk not meeting the 2030 target of ending food insecurity.

The Panorama of Food and Nutrition Security in Latin America and the Caribbean 2017, published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), reports for the first time on the progress made by countries in the Region towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Europe and Central Asia region encompasses a great deal of natural, economic and social diversity. As a result, the nature and extent of food insecurity problems vary throughout the region.
