XIV World Forest Congress 2015

Countdown to the Global Forest Resources Assessment 2015

Find out how forests have changed over the last 25 years when the Global Forest Resources Assessment (FRA) 2015 is launched at the XIV World Forestry Congress. Updated every five years, the world’s foremost global forest data assessment shows the state of sustainable forest management, and what percentage of forests has been lost or gained and at what rate, along with other trends. The survey shows data by country, worldwide, by region, sub-region, income category and climatic domain.

A new FRA format will include a synthesis report, a desk reference containing summary tables, a special issue of the journal Forest Ecology and Management and an online database that integrates FRA data with other FAO data sources.
