Plan your visit

Visits last approximately one hour and half, and include a guided tour of the most important meeting rooms in the building.

FAO offers tours in English or Italian exclusively to groups of 15 to 30 people over 11 years of age. Tours kick-off either 10.00 a.m. or 15.00 p.m. Visitors are not permitted to enter the building without a FAO member of staff. All visitors must exit the building by 17:00 p.m.

Visits cannot be conducted during the FAO General Conference, Council, Committees, other high-level conferences, summits and official holidays.

Due to high-level meetings of heads of state and government, FAO Headquarters may sometimes close to the public at very short notice. FAO reserves the right to cancel group visits without prior notice, depending on its conference and events programme, however the Organization will do its best to reschedule reservations resulting from such closures.
