Conference, Council and Protocol Affairs Division (CPA)

The Conference, Council and Protocol Affairs Division (CPA) is responsible for liaison between the Organization and its Members on Governing Body matters, including the programming, organization, and conduct of Governing Body meetings, provision of interpretation and translation services, as well as Protocol services.


The functions of the Division are performed through the Conference, Council and Government Relations Branch (CPAC); the Meetings Programming and Documentation Service (CPAM); and the Protocol Branch (CPAP).

The Conference, Council and Government Relations Branch (CPAC)
carries out secretariat functions
for the Conference and Council
between sessions and ensures the despatch of official correspondence to Members and international organizations.

The Meetings Programming
and Documentation Service
(CPAM)
is responsible for meeting scheduling
and programming, and for the provision of interpretation, translation, terminology and
printing services.

The Protocol Branch (CPAP)
acts as liaison between the Organization and governments, ensuring that correct protocol is followed.
