FAO Director-General meets head of Italian development cooperation

20 April 2017, Rome - FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva today met Pietro Sebastiani, Director for Cooperation Development of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, for discussions on Italy's new aid cooperation law and the country's cooperation with the organization. 

Graziano da Silva to visit Japan in May

11 April 2017, Rome - FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva today met Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Motome Takisawa, who was in Rome to attend the G-7 Energy Ministerial meeting. 

FAO Director-General will visit Japan in May to boost public awareness of the Organization’s strong ties with its second-largest donor.

Lorena Castillo de Varela presenta en la FAO un programa para la erradicación de la pobreza en las comunidades indígenas del país

12 de abril de 2017, Roma - El Director General de la FAO, José Graziano da Silva, recibió hoy en la FAO a la Primera Dama de Panamá, Lorena Castillo de Varela, que presentó su programa Biocomunidad para la erradicación de la pobreza en comunidades indígenas.

El proyecto, que ha pasado a integrarse en una estrategia nacional, ha apoyado hasta la fecha a 14 comunidades seleccionadas en base a
