Norway’s Minister for Agriculture and Food in talks with FAO’s Director-General

8 June 2015, Rome – Norway’s Minister for Agriculture and Food, Sylvi Listhaug, and FAO Director-General, José Graziano da Silva, held talks today that focused on fighting hunger, promoting sustainable agriculture and addressing climate change.

Agreement takes place within framework of South-South Cooperation

8 June 2015, Rome – The Islamic Republic of Iran and FAO are strengthening their joint capacity-development efforts aimed at improving nutrition, increasing agricultural productivity and reducing rural poverty at a global and regional level.

7 June 2015, Rome - An international awards ceremony today recognized the great effort made by countries around the world which has led to the near achievement of the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) target to halve the proportion of hungry people by a 2015 deadline, or bringing it below the 5 percent threshold.
