Talks at FAO's Regional Conference for the Near East

12 May 2016, Rome- FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva today met with Lebanon's Agriculture Minister, Akram Cheyayeb, whom he thanked for the efforts made ensure the success of the Organization's 33rd Regional Conference for the Near East taking place in Rome this week. 

Both principals discussed how conflicts are impeding the fight against hunger in the Near East region, where growing food insecurity is compounded
