19 June 2013, Rome, Italy – The FAO and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which have had a strong partnership since 1964 through its Joint FAO/IAEA Division for the application of nuclear techniques in food and agriculture, have signed an agreement that aims to strengthen further the relationship.

The Minister also underlined Tajikistan excellent cooperation with FAO over the last15 years and expressed special appreciation of the Organization’s current work in his country.

18 June 2013, Rome - Bulgarian Minister for Agriculture and Food Dimitar Grekov offered to make his country’s agricultural knowledge and traditions available to FAO at a meeting with the Director-General here today. José Graziano da Silva congratulated the Minister on his recent appointment and welcomed his offer, noting Bulgaria’s regional role and its wide technical experience and knowledge of agriculture.
18 June 2013, Rome - Turkey’s Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Mehmet Mehdi Eker, expressed strong support for FAO’s decentralization and reform process at a meeting with Director-General José Graziano da Silva here today. The Minister also expressed his country’s interest in working more closely with FAO. Graziano da Silva, on his side, underlined Turkey’s emerging role and the strong support it provides in its region.
