India’s Minister for Agriculture in talks with FAO Director-General

9 June 2015, Rome – Soil health and organic farming were at the centre of discussions today between India’s Minister for Agriculture, Shri Radha Mohan Singh and FAO Director-General, José Graziano da Silva.

9 June 2015, Rome – United States Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, Krysta Harden, today met FAO Director-General, José Graziano da Silva, for talks that focused on nutrition and biotechnology.

Deputy Secretary Harden, who attended FAO’s governing Conference, said she was “very pleased” with its outcomes. “It was my first one (Conference) so I did not know what to expect. I think it was very well organized.”

Parties sign first agreement since country joined FAO in 2013
8 June 2015, Rome - Singapore and FAO will work together to improve food and nutrition security in Southeast Asia, with a special focus on food safety and fisheries, according to a new agreement signed today - the first since the city-state joined the Organization in 2013.
