17 June 2013, Rome, Italy - Mohamed Ahmed Awaleh, Djibouti Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock and Natural Resources, met today with the Director-General at FAO Headquarters. The Minister expressed his appreciation of the award he received yesterday from FAO, along with 37 other countries, for his country’s progress in hunger reduction.

Brunei invited to get involved in the Country Programme Framework

17 June 2013, Rome, Italy - Brunei Darussalam Minister for Industry and Primary Resources Bakar Yahya met today with the Director-General at FAO Headquarters. Graziano da Silva welcomed the membership of Brunei Darussalam and invited the Minister to get involved in the preparation of FAO’s Country Programme Framework (CPS).

Brunei is one of the three new countries admitted by the FAO Conference in its 38th Session. FAO now has 194

La FAO reconoce los logros de 38 países

16 de junio de 2013, Roma – El Director General de FAO, José Graziano da Silva, ha reconocido formalmente el logro de 38 países de reducir el hambre a la mitad, con mucha antelación respecto a los objetivos establecidos internacionalmente para 2015.

En el curso de una ceremonia de alto nivel a la que asistieron varios Jefes de Estado, 18 países recibieron diplomas
