Débat sur l’importance de l’égalité des sexes dans la sécurité alimentaire à l’occasion de la Journée internationale de la femme

7 mars 2014, Rome - Il est capital de réduire l'inégalité entre les sexes pour éliminer la faim et développer des systèmes alimentaires plus durables, a déclaré le Directeur général de la FAO, José Graziano da Silva, à un colloque d'experts internationaux et de représentants des pays réunis à l'occasion de la Journée internationale de la femme aujourd'hui à Rome.

An interregional technical cooperation program will enhance food and nutrition security in the Portuguese Language countries

6 March 2014, Rome – FAO and the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) have joined forces towards the establishment of a Hunger Free Community of Portuguese Language Countries.

FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva and the Executive Secretary of the CPLP, Murade Isaac Miguigy Murargy, signed a Technical Cooperation Programme, uniting FAO and the CPLP today.

With a total allocated contribution of $500,000 USD,

5 March 2014, Budapest – Director-General of FAO Jose’ Graziano da Silva met today with Cyprus Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, Kouyialis Nicos.

The encounter took place on the margins of the Global Forum and Expo on Family Farming (Budapest, 4-6 March 2014).

The Director-General and the Minister discussed ways of enhancing the mutually beneficial cooperation between FAO and the Government of Cyprus.  The experience and technical expertise of
