Governments, farmers' organizations and private sector move towards concrete actions for family farming

27 October 2014, Rome - How can governments, farmers' organizations and the private sector seize current global momentum and galvanize concrete action in support of family farmers beyond 2014? This is the central question at the two-day Global Dialogue on Family Farming (GDFF), opened at FAO headquarters today.

In his opening remarks, FAO Director General José Graziano da Silva addressed farmers and their organizations directly,

27 October 2014, Rome - FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva today met with the Hungarian Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas, who was in Rome to attend the Global Dialogue on Family Farming (GDFF), a forum to discuss ways for governments, farmers' organizations and the private sector to galvanize concrete action in support of family farmers beyond the International Year of Family Farming in 2014.

€41 million effort should help end hunger, foster stability and adapt to climate change
