Host agreement with Mozambique for the South West Indian Ocean Fisheries Commission (SWIOFC)

Promoting the sustainable utilization of the living marine resources of the Southwest Indian Ocean region

 

On 12 November 2014, the FAO Assistant Director General for Fisheries will sign a host agreement with Mozambique for  the South West Indian Ocean Fisheries Commission (SWIOFC). This will be preceded by a two day a working party on collaboration in tuna fisheries. Countries involved in the working party include: Comoros, France, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Maldives, Mozambique, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania and Yemen.
