UN-REDD Programme Policy Board meeting was held in Arusha

The thirteenth UN-REDD Programme Policy Board meeting was held in Arusha, Tanzania from 3-7 November.

As well as the official Policy Board meeting, country participants were able to share REDD+ readiness experiences during two information days with the UN-REDD Programme and the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility. The UN-REDD Programme Policy Board is made up of representatives from 56 partner countries, donors to the Multi-Partner Trust Fund, civil society, Indigenous Peoples and the three Participating UN Organizations (FAO, UNDP and UNEP). The future of the UN-REDD Programme was strengthened and its value reaffirmed with the UN-REDD Programme Policy Board support for the Programme’s proposed 2016-2020 strategic framework, and new donor pledges of approximately US$ 600,000 from Spain and US$ 11 million from Norway.
