Field Programme Support and Monitoring

In support of SFE countries, the Field Programme Support and Monitoring unit is responsible for the following:

  • Collecting information and monitor the progress of both pipeline and ongoing projects at the country level and in  the sub-region;
  • Identifying projects/programmes facing problems and draw them to the attention of responsible officers/units concerned;
  • Providing support to project Budget Holders (BHs) in ensuring the provision of scheduled inputs and monitor their timely execution, in line with project work plans;
  • Monitoring the completion of field projects and timely action relating to preparation of delivery estimates, pipeline reviews and preparation of QPIRs and other project related reports (progress and terminal reports) and operational closure of projects;
  • Participating in the analysis of technical and operational backstopping requirements for the field programme in collaboration with the respective BHs;
  • Monitoring the quality of information and documents stored in Field Programme Management Information System-FPMIS Country Intelligence Module (CIM), and review, update and maintain the field programme related information and data in the FPMIS;
  • Acting as focal unit , overseeing and coordinating the collection and storage of country intelligence information and documents;
  • Preparing briefs to the Sub-Regional Coordinator, in consultation with the FAORs;
  • Contributing to project formulation and provide operational clearance in accordance with the relevant Field Programme Circulars;
  • Providing guidance and advice to BHs in the SFE on procedural issues relating to project operations.
