Meetings of the CGRFA
The CGRFA, which is an inter-governmental body, holds Regular Sessions every two years. Relevant technical assistance agencies, intergovernmental organisations, development banks and non-governmental organisations also attend these sessions in their capacity as observers. In addition, Extraordinary Sessions and Inter-Sessional meetings of the subsidiary bodies of the Commission are held as necessary. By FAO Conference Resolution 3/2001, the Commission acts as the Interim Committee for the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture.
