Animal Nutrition, Gujarat Agricultural Univ. Anand Campus, Anand-388110, India. Indian-Journal-of-Animal-Nutrition. 1985, 2: 2, 89-90; 2 ref. Groundnut haulms containing thin stems, leaves and immature nuts were harvested at and 10 days before the recommended time. The composition was crude protein 14.7 and 12.8, fat 3.6 and 4.6, crude fibre 31.0 and 30.0, N-free extract 38.9 and 40.7, ash 11.8 and 11.9, phosphorus 0.39 and 0.42 and calcium 2.27 and 2.40%, respectively. The average daily DM intake by steers was 1.73 kg/100 kg body weight. Organic matter digestibility was 63.9, digestible crude protein 5.67 and total digestible nutrients 55.8%. Daily balances were N 24.7, Ca 29.9 and P -0.5 g. This abstract relates to the following species:Arachis hypogaea, Arachis hypogaea
