The inclusion of brewers' dried grains (BDG), maize cobs (MC), wheat offals (WO) and groundnut shells (GS) at up to 15% in diets (20% crude protein) of pigs from weaning until slaughter at 92 kg had no significant effect on performance, and even tended to improve performance relative to pigs given a control diet. BDG was more beneficial than MC while WO was only marginally better than GS, but it is concluded that all may be included at up to 15% in the diets of growing-fattening pigs, thus economizing on the use of maize.
