Improving nutritive value of peanut straw by NaOH treatment.

Groundnut haulms were treated with 0, 3, 6, 9 or 12% sodium hydroxide and stored for 1, 2 or 3 days. Digestibility in vitro of DM and organic matter increased with increasing NaOH and also with increasing storage time.
