Growing chickens were fed from 6 weeks old for 14 weeks with til [Sesamum] or mustard oilcakes, each raw or steamed. Bodyweight gain was greatest with steamed til, next with steamed mustard, and least with raw til. The increase in gain with steaming the oilmeal was significant for til but not for mustard. There was no significant difference between groups in feed intake.

Brassica spp, Sesamum indicum
