Total gains on Imperata pasture stocked at 0.75 animal units/ha was 68.12 kg/head and that on mixed pastures at 1.5 and 2.0 animals/ha was 111.94 and 87.4 kg/head, resp. Annual liveweight gains for the 3 treatments were 51.09, 167.91 and 174.84 kg/ha, resp. In demonstration trials on Guinea grass-leucaena pasture annual liveweight gains of 440 kg/ha were obtained.
