Comparative study of four clones of sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas) in the dry season for pig feeding.

Sweet potatoes cv. CEMSA 78-354, CEMSA 78-326, CEMSA 78-425 and CEMSA 74-228 were planted in the field in Nov. 1984 and received 25 mm irrigation at planting and at 26 days. At harvest, 150 days later, root DM yields were 3.8, 3.4, 3.2 and 2.6 t/ha, resp. Foliage DM yield was 1.3-1.5 t/ha, root DM 24-26%, CP 1.13-1.25%, CF 1.0-1.7%, starch 18.0-21.1% and ash 1.0-1.3%.
