For 112 days 3 groups of 6 zebu calves 5 months old were fed on cassava forage silage with or without 0.5 kg dried cassava chips, or silage with cassava chips plus 0.25 kg cottonseed oilmeal. Weight gain, feed efficiency and protein utilization were low for calves fed on silage alone.
