From age 1 to 42 days chicks were given a diet with 32% groundnut cake (GC) or with 8, 16, 24 and 32% niger cake replacing GC. Weight gains were 820, 821, 791, 793 and 734 g and feed to gain ratios 2.22, 2.20, 2.35, 2.41 and 2.45, respectively. It was suggested that up to 16% niger cake could be included in the diet.
