In a field trial in Belem, male buffaloes were grazed on a B. humidicola pasture for 364 days at (a) 1, (b) 1.5 or (c) 2.0 animals/ha, (d) with or (e) without bathing facilities. There were no significant differences in liveweight gain for (d) and (e) but differences between stocking rates were significant for liveweight gain/ha yr with (c) giving the largest gain to 500.8 and 427.93 kg for (d) and (e), resp.
